Our exterior painting process
Exterior painting isn’t as simple as putting a lick of paint on a wall. Because the paint and structures are exposed to the elements of British weather, careful preparation needs to be completed to ensure our work lasts. With this in mind, we have a thorough process that our teams follow to make sure you get a quality and professional job from us.
The first step will be a consultation with you, often at your site, where we will learn more about your desires and project area. Throughout this consultation, we will discuss colour options, the process and other considerations that might need to be made.
With decisions made and a quote accepted by you, we will arrange a date to start the work.
Exterior painting preparations
Before we start painting, we will undertake several preparation steps:
- Pressure washing to remove dirt, mildew, and old paint.
- Scraping, sanding, and priming surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
- Repairing cracks, holes, and imperfections in walls, trim, and other surfaces.
